HISTORY

Applimed SA

Is a Swiss family-owned company active for more than 30 years in the manufacture and distribution of single-use medical devices. It is mainly known as one of the largest manufacturers of medical applicators in Europe

GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION

Located in Châtel-St-Denis, near Lausanne, Bern and Geneva, our administrative, production, steriliSation and logistics structures are grouped together in a perimeter close to the motorway, so facilitating interactions and deliveries/supplies.

Certifications

Certified according to EN ISO 13485:2016 and according to Annex II and Annex V of Directive 93/42/EEC including the sterilisation of our products, Applimed SA distributes its medical devices in Switzerland and abroad. They are intended for hospitals, clinics, medical centres and practices, homes for the elderly, specialised institutions, home care services, pharmacies and retailers.

1980

The company was founded in Denmark by Dr Ali Danechi. for the manufacture of medical applicators.



1987

Official opening of the second production site in line with Directive 93/42/EEC and standard EN ISO 13485 in Châtel-St-Denis (current headquarters of the Group) and expansion of the range of single-use medical devices.

1999

Construction of the C.S.S.R. (Sterilisation Centre in French-speaking Switzerland, with ethylene oxide) of a commercial nature meeting standards EN ISO 11135 and EN ISO 13485, and having a sterilisation capacity of 10,000 pallets per year



2008

Construction of a storage hall with a surface area of 1,200 m2 (capacity of 2,000 pallets)

2017

Construction of a third class 8 clean room validated according to ISO 14644-1:2015 and operational since January 2017.
With an area of 100m2, our third clean room has 3 manufacturing lines and state-of-the-art machines.


